Club Details
Hebden Bridge Camera Club - Founded 1952We are a member club of the Yorkshire Photographic Union and affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
The club meets from September to April on Wednesday evenings at the Masonic Hall, Hangingroyd Lane, Hebden Bridge at 7.45 p.m.
Talks are given by visiting experts and Club members on all aspects of still photography, covering traditional and digital prints and projected images in both colour and monochrome. We also have portrait sessions and outside visits.
Five internal print/projected image competitions are held each year. An annual print and projected image competition is held in the Autumn and there is the opportunity to submit work to the Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition.
We have competitions with neighbouring photographic societies and this year we are joining the Inter-Club Group of Yorkshire which holds four projected image competitions between twelve clubs.
During the summer months there is usually a fortnightly programme of events including walks and visits.
The Club has a small enthusiastic membership and potential new members are welcome to attend any meeting as a visitor. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in photography.
Annual membership is currently £25 for adults and £10 for juniors.
